This month's NAFSA Collegial Conversation features an interview with AIEA member A. Douglas Kincaid. Dr. Kincaid is Vice Provost for International Studies and Associate Professor of Sociology at Florida International University in Miami, Florida, where he has worked since 1985. As vice provost he is responsible for general leadership of the University's international affairs, as well as supervision of area studies, study abroad, overseas offices, international agreements, and international student scholarship programs. The 6th edition of AIEA member Kenneth Cushner's textbook, Human Diversity in Education: An Integrative Approach (2009, with McClelland and Safford) has just been released by McGraw-Hill. Continuing to address education from an intercultural perspective, this edition includes contributions from educators outside the United States. A special Florida Edition of the text is also available. Kenneth Cushner has also recently completed a Senior Fulbright Specialist appointment at Gotland University, Sweden, where he directed the pilot phase of a cross-cultural training material development project for the nations of the Baltic Sea region.
